The GLBTA Programs Office is available to students, staff, faculty, administrators, alumni, and community members to consult on a case-by-case basis. Our services include consultation on program development, diversity training, advocacy, and community partnerships. Bi/Pan/Fluid Sexuality Inclusion Project
This partnership with the Bisexual Organizing Project (BOP) works to create safer spaces and inclusion for bisexual, pansexual, queer, and fluid-identified students, staff and faculty and their allies! Join us as we work to increase bi visibility, education and awareness across campus and our larger communities. Website coming soon!

Education & Training Initiatives
Trainings, workshops, guest lectures, and facilitated dialogues are available to all University departments, colleges, units, and offices and can be customized to fit audience needs.

GLBTA Alumni Network
The GLBTA Alumni Network is for all GLBTA alumni and those who are supportive of the University.

GLBTA International Initiative
This Initiative addresses understandings and experiences of "GLBTA" identities within a cultural context and facilitates open and honest dialogue about gender and sexual diversity in its many manifestations around the globe.

GLBTA Mentor Program
The Mentor Program matches undergraduate and graduate student mentees at the University of Minnesota with a University or community mentor for one academic year.

GLBTQ Student Support Groups
The GLBTA Programs Office is home to both a Trans* and Gender Nonconforming Support Group and a GLBTQ International Students & Scholars Support Group. Facilitated by GLBTA Programs Office staff, these safer spaces are designed to serve identities and experiences which are often marginalized even within GLBTA communities. Groups provide encouragement for self-identity development as well as building strong networks of support.

Lavender Celebration & Awards Ceremony
This systemwide community building event and celebration is an opportunity to recognize and honor the cumulative accomplishments of GLBTA students, scholars, and graduates over the past year.

Lavender House
Lavender House is a Living & Learning Community open to students who are interested in issues of gender and sexuality.

E-Newsletter
The E-Newsletter is a regular electronic publication that highlights GLBTA announcements, events, and programming at the University of Minnesota, as well as events in the greater community.

Pride @ Work
This employee network connects GLBTA staff and faculty across campus for educational forums, networking opportunities, and social events.

Saint Paul Campus
The GLBTA Programs Office provides programming and social opportunities for the St. Paul campus community. The St. Paul campus also has its own GLBTA Advisory Group which meets monthly.

Steven J. Schochet Endowment for GLBT Studies & Campus Life
The Schochet Endowment coordinates various GLBT academic programs, such as the Distinguished Lecture Series, the GLBT-Q Colloquia Series, and the GLBT Studies Awards.

Systemwide Standing Commission for GLBT Concerns
The Systemwide Commission is comprised of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members from all five University campuses. It is charged with assessing the campus climate and makes recommendations to the Vice President and Vice Provost for Equity & Diversity.

Tongues Untied: LGBTQ People of Color Discussions
Tongues Untied hosts biweekly discussions, educational presentations, and social events for LGBTQ people of color to have a space to talk about our experiences, issues and needs at the intersections of race, class, gender and sexuality on predominantly white and hetero-normative campuses.

Transgender Commission
The Trans Commission is a coalition of students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members working for institutional change at the University of Minnesota for trans communities and people of all genders through advocacy, education, community building and policy reform.
