Breaking the Silence Awards

The Breaking the Silence Awards recognize efforts which confront discrimination based on gender identification or sexual orientation thus improving campus climate for GLBTA people at the University of Minnesota.

GLBTA Student Leadership Awards
Nominations closed until 2008 - 2009 academic year.

The GLBTA Student Leadership Awards recognize students who lead organizations and plan events that encourage and inspire their fellow students to work for positive change on our campuses.

GLBTA Student Scholarship
Applications not being taken until 2008 - 2009 academic year.

The GLBTA Student Scholarship Fund was founded in 1998 by University of Minnesota alumni, faculty, and staff, and provides up to three $1,000 scholarships each academic year.

GLBTA Student Travel Grants
Travel Grants not being awarded until 2008 - 2009 academic year.

The Travel Grant program is intended to help University of Minnesota, Twin Cities undergraduate and graduate students attend local, regional, and national conferences for personal, academic, and professional development.

GLBT Studies Awards for Excellence in Creativity & Scholarship
Nominations closed until 2008 - 2009 academic year.

The GLBT Studies Awards, provided by the Steven J. Schochet Endowment, award students $350 each for the best paper or project in six different categories.
