Breaking the Silence Awards
The Breaking The Silence Awards recognize people and organizations that improve campus climate by confronting discrimination based on gender and sexuality at the University of Minnesota.
GLBTA Leadership Awards
The GLBTA Leadership Awards recognize students, staff, faculty, alumni or community members who lead efforts that empower and inspire others to work for positive change on our campuses.
GLBTA Student Scholarship
The GLBTA Student Scholarship Fund was founded in 1998 by University of Minnesota alumni, faculty, and staff, and provides between $1,000-3,000 in scholarships each academic year.
Schochet GLBT Studies Awards for Excellence in Creativity and Scholarship
The GLBT Studies Awards, provided by the Steven J. Schochet Endowment, award students $500 each for the best paper or project in four different categories.

Applications and nominations for all our 2011-12 awards will be due on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 5:00 PM. (Extended)

All awards are open to all
five University of Minnesota campuses, and are recognized at the annual Lavender Celebration & Awards Ceremony on Mon,
April 30, 2012.
