The GLBTA Alumni Network is an officially recognized special interest group of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA). Its goals are to:

Increase the visibility of GLBTA University of Minnesota alumni, faculty, staff and students.

Improve the GLBTA student experience by connecting with alumni, creation of professional and social network opportunities, the establishment of a GLBTA mentor program, and sponsorship of events which promote a sense of fun and community.

Advocate on behalf of GLBTA alumni and students by lobbying University of Minnesota administration and Board of Regents to maintain and increase support of GLBTA issues, supporting the activities of GLBTA campus groups, and helping effect change in University of Minnesota curriculum.

Support GLBTA services and programming at the University of Minnesota through UMAA membership acquisition and fundraising supportive of the GLBTA Alumni Network and the GLBTA Programs Office.
